You can set your computer to automatically log-in. You do not have to enter your username and password anymore!
Here’s how:
1. Open your favorite text editor…(Notepad, Wordpad, or Microsoft Word).
2. Type or copy and paste the text below:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon]
“DefaultUserName”=”your_user_name_here”
“DefaultPassword”=”your_password_here”
“AutoAdminLogon”=”1″
3. Replace “your_user_name_here” with the user name that you use to log on to your computer.
4. Replace “your_password_here” with the password that you use to log on to your computer.
5. Save the file as autologon.reg in your “My Documents” folder.
6. Go to your “My Documents” folder.
7. Double-click the file autologon.reg.
8. You’re all set! You should no longer be asked for a username and password after you restart your computer.
